The Doors and Hardware Institute (DHI) is the only professional association dedicated to the Architectural Openings Industry. In 2014, DHI asked TGD to refresh their publication design and provide ongoing production. Then in 2017, we completely renamed and redesigned the publication to facilitate their expanding target audience and industry changes. The new design focuses more on the industry plus security and safety issues they are presently facing. We redefined the columns and departments by placing them into sections or buckets of content which not only added more impact to the overall design but allowed the content under each section to be expanded and targeted to specific readership needs. The redesign has been extremely well-received, with comments of appreciation pouring in. The more sophisticated and forward-thinking look of the publication is appealing to both the base membership and the next generation of leaders.
